Gli anni explores art history in Naples from the 1960s to today, linking the Madre collection with major public and private collections. Highlights include Carlo Alfano’s Delle distanze dalla rappresentazione (1969), Luciano Fabro’s Nord, Sud, Est, Ovest giocano a Shangai (1989), and Nan Goldin’s Naples and Sorrento photographs (1986–1996). Inspired by Annie Ernaux’s novel, the exhibition reflects on memory and history. Featuring artists like Dora García, Valerio Nicolai, and Andrew Norman Wilson, it integrates ongoing research and collaborations. Performative activation of Sogni d’oro, primitivi by Nicolai occurs on weekends at designated times.
